MAB introduced its futuristic electric mini truck SF T01 at PEVS 2025. With 9,000 units ordered and Cybertruck-inspired design, it’s becoming a standout in Southeast Asia’s EV landscape.
A Head-Turner at Indonesia’s Biggest EV Show
At the 2025 Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS), held in JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta, the spotlight was stolen by a homegrown innovation: the SF T01, a bold electric mini truck from Indonesian EV manufacturer Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB). While most booths showcased familiar EVs, MAB stood out—thanks to a futuristic pickup truck that resembles a mini Tesla Cybertruck.
Founded by General Moeldoko, the Chairman of the Indonesian Electric Vehicle Industry Association (Periklindo), MAB has been steadily building its lineup of electric vehicles. At PEVS 2025, they not only showcased their technology but also made headlines by announcing a 9,000-unit purchase agreement with PT Safast Electric Vehicle Indonesia (SEVI).
“We’re planning to begin production this June,” said Kelik Irwantono, CEO of MAB, during a press briefing at the event on May 1st. The massive order will be fulfilled over the next three years, with deliveries made gradually.
